David Geisen, CEO of Mercado Libre Mexico, affirms that 288,000 Mexican families derive the majority of their income from the company's ecosystem.

Over the past three years, Mexico has experienced the highest growth in e-commerce worldwide. In 2019, it grew by 35%; in 2020, it grew by 81% due to the pandemic. Although the growth rate slowed down last year, it continues at a good pace: 27%.

The e-commerce industry will continue to advance rapidly in the country, and Mercado Libre will continue to invest in infrastructure, as it plans to open new warehouses in different regions of Mexico next year. The company also plans to expand its logistics network, which is responsible for delivering more than 90% of all items sold on its platform.
