Miniso, a Japanese retailer of low-cost design products, is planning to expand its presence in Mexico with the aim of having up to 200 stores in the country by 2023. The company intends to boost customer traffic to its physical stores by 15 to 20% and expects sales to surpass pre-COVID-19 levels in the coming months.

Miniso has already secured five new licenses this year and anticipates three more in the first quarter of 2022 to enhance its product offerings in Mexico. According to Miniso, they have introduced over 1,340 new SKUs across their 10 different product categories, including Miniso products and licenses. Furthermore, they plan to add an additional 1,695 SKUs by the end of the year, bringing their total offering to over 3,000 new products.
