Sodimac inaugurated its first store in Monterrey, Nuevo León, today as part of its countrywide development plan. This marks the eighth branch in Mexico over the past three years. The Homecenter is located in Sendero Monterrey and covers an area of 12,000 square meters, with 8,000 square meters dedicated to retail space.

With this opening, the company has directly employed 150 people, in addition to creating indirect jobs for service providers. This expansion is part of the agreement signed between Falabella Group and Organización Soriana in 2016, aiming to establish a home improvement chain and offer the Falabella Soriana credit card with financing options.

The store combines the Homecenter and Constructor formats to meet the needs of construction, remodeling, and home decoration projects.
