After Establishing a Presence in Major Latin American Cities, TikTok to Invest in Physical Expansion in the US
- The Chinese company plans to increase its space in three major North American cities

Fuentes internacionales revelan que ByteDance, empresa propietaria de TikTok, está planeando una importante expansión de sus oficinas en Estados Unidos. Esta nueva estrategia no sólo supondrá un aumento del espacio ocupado de la compañía, sino que también implicará un cambio hacia el modelo de trabajo presencial.
La nueva empresa estará en Silicon Valley, California, un lugar conocido por albergar una gran concentración de empresas de tecnología. Además, se están considerando otras ubicaciones, como el área metropolitana de Seattle en Washington y Nashville, Tennessee.
Las fuentes indican que la empresa china podría ocupar el espacio que antiguamente utilizaba el gigante tecnológico Microsoft en Bellevue, una región adyacente a Seattle, totalizando unos 22.000 m² sólo en el estado de Washington.
Actualmente, ByteDance mantiene oficinas en Los Ángeles, California, un espacio de WeWork en Nashville, Nueva York, San Francisco y Austin.

In Latin America, the company is accelerating its expansion. ByteDance opened an office in Bogotá, the capital of Colombia, in the Los Venados Building - Tower B, a Class A office tower from 1997. The company occupies 1,294 m² of the 24,000 m² distributed over 19 floors.
In Mexico, ByteDance occupies a coworking space at WeWork in Torre Reforma Latino, located in Mexico City.
In Brazil, the popular Chinese short-video app recently began occupying five floors in the Infinity Tower building in São Paulo. With 7,421 m², this lease, made in October, was one of the largest in the fourth quarter of 2023. Previously, the company occupied 1,926 m² at São Paulo Corporate Towers, and this change in location represented a 285% growth in physical spaces.

With more than 1 billion users worldwide, TikTok has offices on all continents, focusing on cities such as Los Angeles, New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore, Jakarta, Seoul, Tokyo, Miami, Mexico City, São Paulo, Bogotá, and Buenos Aires.
As of the time of this report, the company has not issued an official statement regarding its recent leases and expansion plans.
